DAY 01

Airport Pick up & Overnight stay in Negombo

Negombo is a major tourist destination in Sri Lanka. This city is an ideal and liberal place with luxury, tropical life style, for those who want quick access to and from the country’s main international airport and also to Colombo city. The 100 km long canal network running through the city is still used, and outrigger canoes and modern water-craft ply this route daily, for trade and tourist purposes. Remnants of colonization include the Dutch fort built in 1672, as well as centuries-old Portuguese and Dutch houses, Administrative buildings, Churches and the ceiling frescoes of St. Mary’s Cathedral. Negombo is also home to the country’s second-largest fish market, also locally famous as being called the “Lellama (Lel-La-Ma)”, at the north end of the town’s lagoon. There are daily fish auctions, which give tourists a chance to meet the area’s fishermen, buy fish and even organize fishing trips into the lagoon and the ocean beyond.

DAY 02

Explore the Birth Place of Sinhalese Civilization – “Anuradhapura Ancient City"

After Breakfast and leave for Anuradhapura Ancient City. Anuradhapura is the birthplace of Sinhala civilization & one of the world’s largest archeological sites. It is considered as the greatest monastic city of the ancient world, & was founded in the 5th century BC.

DAYS 3-6

Pristine Beaches of East Coast- Pasikudah

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the beautiful sandy beaches of the east coast “Pasikudah”. Pasikuda beach, recognized as one of safest beaches in Sri Lanka is very famous among the travelers who travel around the Sri Lankan tourism areas. Known for its sun-kissed beaches, one of the best seaside areas to visit when in the Eastern Coast is Pasikuda Beach. Located in the Batticaloa district.

 
DAYS 3-6

Pristine Beaches of East Coast- Pasikudah

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the beautiful sandy beaches of the east coast “Pasikudah”. Pasikuda beach, recognized as one of safest beaches in Sri Lanka is very famous among the travelers who travel around the Sri Lankan tourism areas. Known for its sun-kissed beaches, one of the best seaside areas to visit when in the Eastern Coast is Pasikuda Beach. Located in the Batticaloa district.

 
DAY 7

Explore the Ancient Wonder & The Magnificent Fortress -Sigiriya Lion Rock

Check out from your hotel in Pasikudah and you will be transferred to Sigiriya and explore the ancient wonder “Sigiriya Lion Rock”

Sigiriya is an ancient palace located in the central Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace was abandoned after the king’s death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.

DAY 8

Golden Rock Temple , Temple of Tooth and the Last Kingdom

Breakfast at the hotel and leave for Kandy. En- Route visit Dambulla Golden Rock Temple (Dambulla Cave Temple)

Golden Rock is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century .BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist mythology and the tales of the Buddha’s previous births. The caves house the largest collection of Buddha statues in one place.

After Golden Rock Temple leave for Kandy en route visit Matale Spice Garden.

Kandy is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.

DAY 9

Ceylon Tea Experience, Hill Country and Little England

Breakfast at the Hotel and Leave for Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Tea Factory, Tea Plantation and Scenic Ramboda Waterfall.

Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is “ Little England” , “city on the plain (table land)” or “city of light”. The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is also known for the temperate, cool climate, the city is known for being the coolest area in Sri Lanka.

DAY 10

Safari Adventure of Yala

Check out from your hotel and travel to Yala.

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public, and also adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as, Ruhuna National Park (block 1) and Kumana National Park or ‘Yala East’ for the adjoining area. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometres (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometres (190 mi) from Colombo. Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds.

 

DAY 11- 12

Sandy Beaches of the South coast – Mirissa

Early morning go for a wild life safari tour to Yala National Park. After Yala safari tour, proceed to Mirissa for the southern beach stay.

Mirissa is a small town in the south coast and belong to Matara District. This is one of most tourist site as Mirissa has beautiful sand wide beaches. It is also a fishing port and one of the island’s main whale and dolphin watching locations. There are plenty of hotels, guest houses and restaurants along the coast. The nightlife of Mirissa is popular among tourists.

DAY 13

Explore the Galle Dutch Fort

You will have a relaxing day at the beach and evening visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage site “Galle Dutch Fort”.

An ancient city which is now a modern and buzzing town today. It was the most important sea port way back in history, where the sea faring merchants arrived to trade and barter. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot in the year 1505 and built a fortress, which was later captured and fortified by the Dutch. The fortress is one of the best preserved in the island. A visit to the fortress and to watch the sunset from the rampart is an experience unforgettable. The oldest Protestant church in the country called the ‘Groote Kirk’ built by the Dutch is located inside the Fort. It is situated close to New Oriental Hotel also built by them as the Governor’s Residence in 1684.

DAY 14

The Night at the Capital of Sri Lanka- ‘Colombo’

Check out from your hotel in Tangalle and transfer to the capital of Sri Lanka “Colombo”.

Colombo is the commercial capital and largest city of Sri Lanka. Colombo has a population of 555,031 in the city limits. It is the financial center of the island and a popular tourist destination

DAY 15

Say Good Bye until see you again

Transfer back to your return flight back home from Colombo after an amazing tour of Sri Lanka.
